The Reality of Cybersecurity

Taking a Stand Against Cybercrime: Making Cyberspace Safe for Everyone

cybersecurity

The reality is that right now, it is far too easy to commit cybercrime.  Unfortunately, it is a criminal activity that is too easy yet very hard to prosecute. It seems there is more and more crime everywhere you look, but we are looking the other way. In reality, we are starting to pass our own informal laws stating that committing cybercrime is okay, and a reset of our understanding of the importance of cybersecurity has to happen.

Now, I am not passing the buck or pointing fingers; I am just standing up and making a stand. We all need to start pushing back and playing a role in protecting ourselves, our families, our businesses, our country, and the world from cybercrime. This is not okay, and enough is enough.

The election is over, and it is time for us to find new things to discuss, focus on, and new problems to solve. It is time for us to start talking about cyber security. Why are there no regular segments on cybersecurity in the news and newspapers? Why is it not a topic of discussion? The first reason is that we do not care, but the deeper problem is on me: YOU do not understand what cybersecurity is and why it is important. And that is about to change.

I have done very well in business, but there has still been an emptiness within me to give back and help people. You might have noticed that my posts have been all over the place, from self-help to motivation to fitness to cyber. For some reason, we tend to run away from the things that are most important to us, and we do it for various reasons. It could be fear, inadequacies, or many things, but the reality is it does not matter the reason.

This past week, I had a reality check, where I just stepped back and asked the universe a simple question: I am here to help. What can I do? After much soul searching and a battle of the souls to figure out who I am, I realized that many people have seen the reality in me for a long time, which I tried to avoid… My true purpose for being here. It is not to save the world or save every human (damn, that would be amazing if I could do that), but it is to focus on a more focused (yet massive) problem: TO MAKE CYBERSPACE A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, AND RAISE A FAMILY.

So I am asking for you help. What do you need, what are you concerned about?

If I had 10 hours of time, what could I do for you in cybersecurity to help achieve my purpose? I know some of you better than others, and I don’t know some of you, but I believe that humans are good and that we live in a friendly universe, so I am here to help.

Please reply to this message by emailing me (ecole@secure-anchor.com); I have time and am here to listen.
